Visa Information

• For international attendees to enter South Korea for the KPS, ICSP, WSPC 2024 in Seoul, valid passports and entry visas depending on one’s visa requirement should be acquired prior to entry to the country. Some countries may be on visa-free, but all international attendees are advised to check whether your country is one of the visa-free entry countries or not.

K-ETA

• K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea, by submitting relevant information online such as their travel information. Starting 1st September 2021, K-ETA is Mandatory for all foreigners entering Korea from visa waiver countries and visa-free countries.
• All foreigners without either a K-ETA or a valid Visa will not be permitted to board a plane to Korea.
• The K-ETA approval may take 72 hours or more, depending on the number of applications received and the circumstances of the applicant.
• Therefore, make sure to complete the application for K-ETA 72 hours before boarding by aircraft.
• List of 22 countries/regions eligible for temporary exemption of K-ETA(~2024.12.31):
  • Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Taiwan, Denmark, Germany, Macau, USA (including Guam), Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Singapore, UK, Austria, Italy, Japan, Canada, Poland, France, Finland, Australia, Hong Kong

Invitation Letter

• The official invitation letter will be available to ONLY those who have completed the registration payment.
• If you need an official invitation letter by e-mail, please ask the secretariat via email (congress@painfree.or.kr )
• The Letter is not a commitment on the part of the organizer to provide any financial support.
• For a original official invitation letter, you can request it through our office email until one month before the registration deadline.
• ※ Our secretariat only issues documents for your visa application and does not assist in the visa issuance process. Also, we do not any contact your embassy regarding visa issuance.

Notarized Invitation Letter

• If you need to receive a notarized invitation letter for visa application, please ask to the secretariat (congress@painfree.or.kr ) no later than 15th September 2024.
• Also, USD 50 will be charged for the notary service and air courier. Letters will be sent by airmail within a week after confirmation of your full payment.
• Please check with the Korean Embassy in your country whether a notarized letter is required for visa issuance.
